Final Summer Meetup!

'Alright! So I just got back from the park and I reserved 4 tables for us at a pavilion for the 25th. It's the last weekend before school starts so I was thinking of a huge shebang like we had for Sam's going away party. 

There is a grill, huge hills, bathrooms, a pool, concession stand, tennis and basketball court, baseball diamond and all sorts of stuff so we aren't going to be tethered to the pavilion like the park. We could have water balloon fights, football games and all other sorts of crap. 

We have the 4 tables at the pavilion from sun up to sun down on the 25th. We can either meet up at the school or at the park. But the date is set and the tables have been paid for.'



I believe there are plans to meet at the school and drive up from there? Idk, I'm busy and can't make it. All questions can be posted below, and Ian shall gladly answer them when he has a spare moment~

Bronycon 2012

To any pony it may concern,

Sorry I have fallen off the face of the Earth since I left the valley. I have been working my tail off financing my trek to UND by working in masonry. To top it off, I rarely get time on the internet because my folks don't believe in computers. I will be at Bronycon with Alex our former president. I will be in purple with a cane looking like Dr. House. Alex  will be dressed as Fluttershy. If you are going to Bronycon, tag your name under this post and I will check up on Friday morning before I leave town. I can't wait to see you guys there.

Next Meet Up Date

Ok guys. I'm setting a (unofficial) meet up date for either the 9th or 10th   16th - 17th of June. That way people can get everything taken care of in order to participate. Read on to see the plans.

(Un)Important Announcement!

I wanted to make this announcement prior to our next meetup so I didn't have to actually say it in person and (maybe) ruin someone's day.


However, I have decided that this will be my only semester as President of the LVB.


For personal reasons, I will not be attending NCC next semester, therefore I cannot be your acting President.


That said, I'm leaving Steve in charge next semester as acting President. Should Steve wish to choose another President (or VP), that's ENTIRELY up to him. If you have any interest in taking over, you CANNOT already be an officer (minus Steve because he's VP), and you MUST be enrolled in NCC.


This doesn't necessarily mean you'll never see me again. If I have a day off from work, I'll gladly make a guest appearance, and I'm always willing to help out the club if need be.


Thanks, and I'm sorry. Thank you for letting me be your President for the semester, I had a wonderful time and no regrets at all. :) See you guys on Saturday <3

Club T-Shirts?

Hey guys! Less then 5 days until the meet up. Anyway I know this is a bit sudden but I was thinking maybe we can get T-shirts made up for the club? I know a few places around the valley that can print up some shirts for us. The only question is what would be on the shirts? Maybe ponified versions of the officers? Maybe a custom shirt for everyone with LVBG on the back? Post your ideas in the comment section!

Silent Auction!

So, you know that super-special-awesome guy Wayne? The one who styles le ponies manes so they look all purrrrdy?


Well, he'd like to sell some of his prized ponies, however, in a silent auction at our next meetup.


How this rolls:


We put ponies on the back table. They will have a piece of paper next to them.


You write your name and your bid. List goes on and on, and whoever has the highest bid wins. Money goes to Wayne, not us.

About Smash Bros. Next Meetup

So just a reminder, or notification if you didn't hear about it, we got the idea for next meetup (thanks to Carlos) to bring in a Wii and some Smash Bros. as a way to pass some time (just for fun, no prize tournament) since it's pretty easy to learn for anyone who's never played. I have the Wii and the game (all characters are unlocked), but I only have three controllers: two gamecube and a wiimote+classic controller. So if at least one person could bring in another controller for everyone to use, that'd be fantastic and we could get four people playing at a time. If you bring a controller, could please make some sort of way of identifying it as yours (tape with initials or something) so we don't get any confusion. Just figured I'd let people know in advance so preparations can be made. Cheers, and have fun watching the season finale.

4/14 Meeting Wrap Up

Through the power of Friendship (and lots of sugar) we have had another successful meet up!

A new Secretary appears!

Just thought I should make a post to make this official and to let those who weren't at the latest meet-up know that we have a new Secretary! That's right we have a brand sparkly new Secretary. For those of you who don't know my name is Ian Beitler. (If that doesn't help I'm the guy with the Nerf Gun and Berry Punch Plushie.) My duties are the same as the last Secretary. Keeping records of the group's meet ups. Posting the post meeting round up. Helping with general activities. So yeah, here's to a long time as Secretary!

4/14 Meeting Details

That being said, I had a semi-fun idea for our next meetup. I was gonna wait until then to show my idea, but I figure it would kill less time if I just posted here, and anyone who misses it can have an opportunity in club to catch up.


So, I wanted to hold a "contest". With us meeting on a week that there is no MLP episode (boooooo), I wanted to see what kinds of ideas you guys had about the plot of the wedding!

So, the contest, in short words, is a "Guess the Plot" contest. Yeah. Semi-fun.


Rules:

1. Write down what you think will happen with the episode. I believe I saw clones in the preview, so jot down what you think will happen in the episode
2. You can be as serious as you want, or as totally whacked out as you think! If you think Cadence will be an alien who works for Discord, go ahead and submit it!

Prizes (Whoever was closest to what actually happens will win):

1st Prize - A PERSONAL gift from me. So long as the gift is under $25 dollars (because I myself am going to be purchasing this, and I don't have a ton of money to spend, as much as I love you guys <3), you can tell me what you'd like and I will do my best to obtain it for you. :)

2nd Prize - 2 ponies of your choice.

3rd Prize - One pony of your choice (can be a blind bag pony, a figure, etc.)

3/31 Meeting Confirmed

The plans for the next meeting are ready.

I have a small request.

I have a favor to ask anybrony out there.

So, at my job, we have a Kennel Staff meeting on the 31st, at 1 pm.

That's the date and time during our (hopefully) next Brony Meeting..


I'm gonna do my best to get out of it -_- They're already making me miss a class to get re-trained...If I don't do that, I go back to being paid minimum wage.

CLUB RULES!

1. Be respectful of your fellow Bronies. This includes officers, when they speak, be curteous and be silent. There's plenty of fun to be had after announcements.

2. Nopony except for officers (unless you are INVITED) are allowed behind the "front desk". This is to prevent cluttering during games and other events.

3. You MUST be quiet while watching the newest, or ANY episode of MLP.

4. Please keep the room clean! Throw out your trash! This also extends to volunteering to take leftovers home~

5. If you are going to be bringing food to club, PLEASE tell the President! She will be keeping a list so appropriate utensils and such shall be brought in. There will be a list made.

6. Voting on an episode to watch shall be done in an orderly fashion. No shouting or being rude.

7. Love and tolerate


While we ARE a club about Love and Tolerance, there is a limit to our tolerance. Failure to comply with the rules will result in the following:

1st Offence: Verbal Warning
2nd Offence: Suspension from Club
3rd Offence: You will be asked to leave the club permanently.

This day just so happens to be St. Patty's Day, so I'll try and bring some...festive foods in. If I don't forget xD

Anyways, I had a question for you guys. I know I already asked about this, but would anybrony object to us meeting from 10-2 on Saturday? I derped and forgot that I had a wedding to attend, and you know, as President, I'd like to actually stay for an ENTIRE meetup...*le sigh*

If not, 12-4 works fine, since I trust Steve not to blow anything up, I'll just have to leave early (again) and I'll have to show up looking fancier than usual~

Our next proposed meetup will be Saturday, March 19th. I don't have all the details as of yet, but we are slated to hold the meeting at the same place and time as we normally do. Updates  will come when things are confirmed.

I am sorry that I didn't get this up sooner, but Wayne did some custom hairdressing for his fellow Bronies. I believe he has the patience of a saint because I know I couldn't do this kind of work.

Bronies! I have a question!

Next Tuesday, Steve and I are (hopefully) going up against Student Senate! Wish us luck!

But aside from that, I have a question. As President, it's required that I attend all of the meetings.

With that, and work occasionally screwing me over, I was wondering if anypony would be interested/okay with having our meetups at a different time. My work schedule is either 7-3:30, or 3-11:30. I don't NORMALLY work on Saturdays, but unfortunately, my grandmother is one of my supervisors, and I'm ALWAYS the first person who gets called in if someone calls out.

That said, would anyone object to having the meeting at a different time on Saturday? Like, maybe 10-2, or 4-7? If not, it's okay, and I trust Steve, Will, and Dan (if you ever meet him) to run club fine if I have to leave early...So uh..Just lemme know in the comments :p
